حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ - هُوَ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ - ثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثَنَا فَائِدٌ مَوْلَى عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ [ سَلْمَى] مَوْلَاةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ؓ، [أَنَّهَا] أَخْبَرَتْهُ

أَنَّهَا صَنَعَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ خَزِيرَةً، فَقَرَّبَتْهَا إِلَيْهِ فَأَكَلَهَا وَمَعَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ، فَبَقِيَ مِنْهَا فَضْلَةٌ، فَمَرَّ بِالنَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَدَعَاهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ، فَأَخَذَهَا الْأَعْرَابِيُّ بِيَدِهِ كُلَّهَا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَهُ: ضَعْهَا. فَوَضَعَهَا، فَقَالَ لَهُ: قُلْ: بِاسْمِ اللهِ، وَخُذْ مِنْ أَدْنَاهَا، قَالَتْ: فَشَبِعَ مِنْهَا وَفَضَلَتْ فَضْلَةٌ

Translation

✧ She made a khazira for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and brought it to him. He ate from it along with some of his companions, and some of it remained. A Bedouin passed by the Prophet ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ invited him. The Bedouin took all of it in his hand, so the Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'Put it down.' He put it down. Then he said to him: 'Say: In the name of Allah, and take from what is nearest to you.' She said: So he ate until he was full, and there was still some left over.
