✧ The Prohibition of Approaching a Menstruating Woman

وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، فَذَكَرَهُ، لَكِنَّ لَفْظَهُ:

أَنَّ عُمَرَ ؓ أَتَى جَارِيَةً لَهُ، فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي حَائِضٌ، فَوَقَعَ بِهَا فَوَجَدَهَا حَائِضًا، فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ: « يَغْفِرُ اللهُ يَا أَبَا حَفْصٍ، تَصَدَّقْ بِنِصْفِ دِينَارٍ

Translation

✧ 'Umar ؓ came to a slave-girl of his, and she said, 'I am menstruating.' He had intercourse with her and found her menstruating. He came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him, so he said: 'May Allah forgive you, O Abu Hafs. Give charity of half a dinar.'
