Translation
✧ Abū Yaʿlā said: Abū Bakr b. Abī Shaybah narrated to us with this. And al-Bazzār transmitted it from Maḥmūd b. Bakr b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from his father, and he added after his saying: "and this one knows women," and he used to enter upon Sawdah ؓ: "so he forbade her from letting him enter upon her," and he said at its end: "so he begs every Friday." Al-Bazzār said: We do not know anyone who narrated it from Saʿd except his son, nor from him except Mujāhid, nor from him except ʿAbd al-Karīm, nor from him except Ibn Abī Laylā, nor from him except ʿĪsā, nor from him except Bakr, and Mujāhid did not ascribe any hadith from ʿĀmir b.
