✧ He used to stand before the people on the day of Adha or the day of Fitr and say: “I witnessed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the Farewell Pilgrimage saying: ‘What day is this?’ They said, ‘The day of sacrifice.’ He said, ‘What month is this?’ They said, ‘A sacred month.’ He said, ‘What land is this?’ They said, ‘The sacred city.’ He ﷺ said: ‘Indeed your blood, your wealth, and your honor are sacred to you like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this land of yours, until the day you meet Him. O Allah, have I conveyed? Let the one present convey to the one absent.’” Wabisah said: “So we testify against you as it was testified against us.”
