وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ:

إِنَّ رَجُلًا نَذَرَ أَنْ يَنْحَرَ ذَوْدًا بِبُوَانَةَ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: « أَحَلَفْتَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ، وَقُلْتَ ذَلِكَ وَفِي نَفْسِكَ شَيْءٌ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ ؟ » قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ ﷺ: « فَانْحَرْهَا ».

Translation

✧ A man vowed to slaughter some camels at Buwana. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Did you swear an oath to that, and did you say that while there was in your soul something of the affairs of the pre-Islamic ignorance?” He said: No. He ﷺ said: “Then slaughter them.”
