وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: ثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ؓ، قَالَ:
قِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ: لَوْ تَزَوَّجْتَ بِنْتَ حَمْزَةَ ؓ ؟ قَالَ ﷺ: « إِنَّهَا ابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعِ، وَإِنَّ الرَّضَاعَةَ تُحَرِّمُ مَا يَحْرُمُ مِنَ النَّسَبِ ».

✧ It was said to the Prophet ﷺ: 'Why do you not marry the daughter of Hamzah ؓ?' He ﷺ said: 'She is the daughter of my brother through breastfeeding, and breastfeeding makes unlawful what is unlawful through lineage.'
