✧ Hafsah became husbandless after her husband, and Uthman became wifeless after Ruqayyah. Umar passed by Uthman and said, "Would you like Hafsah? Her waiting period has ended." He did not respond to him at all. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him. He said, "I will marry Hafsah, and I will marry Uthman to her sister Umm Kulthum." Umar said, "Excellent." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ married Hafsah and married Uthman to Umm Kulthum.
