قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ، قَالَ:
إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَضَى فِي إِنْسَانٍ لَمْ يُوجَدْ لَهُ وَفَاءٌ، وَوَجَدَ بَعْضُ غُرَمَائِهِ سُلْفَتَهُ وَافِرَةً عِنْدَهُ، فَقَضَى بِأَنَّهُ يَأْخُذُ مَتَاعَهُ إِنْ وَجَدَهُ
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ judged concerning a man who was found to have no means to pay, and some of his creditors found their goods intact with him, so he ruled that he should take back his goods if he found them.
