✧ Prohibition of Fraud

إِسْحَاقُ: أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ السَّلَفِ، وَزَادَ: قَالَ أَبِي:

وَمَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى حِنْطَةٍ مَطِيرَةٍ رَأْسُهَا حِنْطَةٌ جَافَّةٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ، أَلَا تَرَكْتَهَا حَتَّى يَشْتَرِيَ إِخْوَانُكَ مَا يَعْرِفُونَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by wheat that had been rained on, while its top was dry wheat. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'What made you do that? Why did you not leave it so that your brothers could buy what they recognize?'

    وقال أبو حاتم إنه مرسل يعني بين إبراهيم وأبيه وفي الجزم بذلك نظر

    machine translationAbū Ḥātim said that it is mursal (with a missing link), meaning between Ibrāhīm and his father; but there is room for doubt in asserting that definitively.
