✧ Abdullah bin Abi Rabee'a

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِعَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ اسْتَسْلَفَ مِنْهُ حِينَ غَزَا حُنَيْنَ ثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ أَرْبَعِينَ أَلْفًا، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَضَاهَا إِيَّاهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: بَارَكَ اللهُ لَكَ فِي أَهْلِكَ وَمَالِكَ، إِنَّمَا جَزَاءُ السَّلَفِ الْوَفَاءُ وَالْحَمْدُ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ borrowed from him thirty or forty thousand when he raided Hunayn. When he returned, he repaid him, then said: May Allah bless you in your family and wealth. The reward for a loan is repayment and praise.
