✧ Virtue of fasting

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا صَامَ يَوْمًا تَطَوُّعًا، ثُمَّ أُعْطِيَ مِلْءَ الْأَرْضِ ذَهَبًا، لَمْ يَسْتَوْفِ ثَوَابَهُ دُونَ الْحِسَابِ

Translation

  7. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ If a man fasts one day voluntarily and then is given the earth's fill of gold, he would not receive the full reward of that fast until the Day of Reckoning.
