حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الصَّوَّافُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا صَامَ يَوْمًا تَطَوُّعًا، ثُمَّ أُعْطِيَ مِلْءَ الْأَرْضِ ذَهَبًا، لَمْ يَسْتَوْفِ ثَوَابَهُ دُونَ يَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  3. Layth
  4. Mujāhid
  5. Abū Hurayrah
  6. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ If a man were to fast one day voluntarily and then be given the fill of the earth in gold, he would not receive his full reward for it before the Day of Reckoning.
