✧ Virtue of fasting

قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الْبَتِّيِّ، عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ؓ، قَالَ:

كُنْتُ مُسْنِدًا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ إِلَى صَدْرِي، فَقَالَ: مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمًا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ اللهِ تَعَالَى، خُتِمَ لَهُ بِهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ

Translation

✧ I was supporting the Prophet ﷺ against my chest, and he said: 'Whoever fasts a day seeking the Face of Allah, the Exalted, and it is sealed for him with it, he will enter Paradise.'
