✧ A man asked Umar ؓ about his camels, and he mentioned their leanness and sores. Umar ؓ said: "I think they are big and fat." Then Umar ؓ passed by him while he was among his camels, driving them, and he was saying: "Abu Hafs Umar swore by God, that there is no scab or sore on them. So forgive, O God, if he has acted wickedly." He said: Umar ؓ said: "What is this?" He said: "The Commander of the Believers asked me about my camels, and I told him about them, and he claimed that he thinks they are big and fat, while they are as you see." He said: "I am the Commander of the Believers, Umar. Come to me in such-and-such a place." So he came to him, and he ordered that they be seized, and he gave him in their place from the camels of charity.
