What scholars said about it

In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

machine translationAs for al-Dāraquṭnī's statement that al-Ḥasan did not hear from Abū Bakrah, the answer is that al-Bukhārī, in his Ṣaḥīḥ, relied upon al-Ḥasan's narration from Abū Bakrah in four hadiths, and in the Musnad of Aḥmad and the Muʿjam al-Kabīr of al-Ṭabarānī there is an explicit statement of his hearing from Abū Bakrah in several hadiths, and the one who affirms takes precedence over the one who denies.

  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationThe preserved (maḥfūẓ) report is from Abū Bakrah.
