What scholars said about it

In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

  • Dāraquṭnī

قول مهدي بن ميمون أصح لأنه زاد عليهما يعني هشام بن حسان وحماد بن زيد وهو ثقة حافظ

machine translationThe statement of Mahdī b. Maymūn is more correct, because he added to what the two of them (that is, Hishām b. Ḥassān and Ḥammād b. Zayd) narrated, and he is trustworthy (thiqah) and a retentive memorizer (ḥāfiẓ).
