Prohibition of slaughtering the sacrifices before the (ʿId) prayer

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلاً ذَبَحَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ قَبْلَ الصَّلاَةِ فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يُعِيدَ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  2. Ismāʿīl Ibn ʿUlayyah
  3. Ayyūb
  4. Muḥammad b. Sīrīn
  5. Anas b. Mālik

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that a man slaughtered on the Day of Sacrifice, (meaning) before the ‘Eid prayer, and the Prophet ﷺ ordered him to do it again.
