ثنا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنْ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ

«أَبْطَأَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ» فَقَالَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ قَدْ وُدِّعَ مُحَمَّدٌ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ ﷺ {مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى وَلَلآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنَ الْأُولَى وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَى}

Translation

✧ Jibril was delayed from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so the polytheists said, "Muhammad has been forsaken." Then Allah, exalted is He, revealed to His Messenger ﷺ: {Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He detested you. And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied}.
