✧ I attended the 'Id prayer with the Messenger of God ﷺ. He said: My wife acted differently from me when I went out to the prayer: she went to my sacrificial animal and slaughtered it, and made food from it. He said: When the Messenger of God ﷺ had prayed with us and I returned to her, she brought me food that had been prepared. I said, "Where is this from?" She said, "Your sacrifice; we slaughtered it and made food for you so you could have lunch when you came." He said: I said to her, "By God, I feared that this might not be proper." He said: I went to the Messenger of God ﷺ and mentioned that to him. He said, "It is nothing. Whoever slaughters before we finish our ritual, it is nothing, so sacrifice." He said: I looked for a musinnah but could not find one. He said: I came to him and said, "By God, O Messenger of God, I looked for a musinnah but did not find one." He said, "Look for a jadha' from sheep and sacrifice it." He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ granted him a concession for a jadha' from sheep, and he sacrificed it since he could not find a musinnah.
