“Then the Verse of Li’an was revealed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Any woman who attributed her child to people to whom he does not belong, then she has no relation to (the religion of) Allah, and she will never enter Paradise, and any man who rejects his child, while he recognizes him, Allah will screen Himself from him on the Day of Resurrection and disgrace him before the witnesses.’”

machine translationMūsā b. ʿAbdah al-Rabadhī narrates it, and there is disagreement about it from him. Bakkār b. ʿAbdillāh b. ʿUbaydah al-Rabadhī narrated it from his uncle Mūsā b. ʿAbdah, from al-Maqburī, from Abū Hurayrah. Zayd b. al-Ḥubāb contradicted him and narrated it from Mūsā b. ʿUbaydah, inserting between him and al-Maqburī a man called Yaḥyā b. Ḥarb, who is an unknown man (majhūl). The statement of Zayd b. al-Ḥubāb is closer to the correct one. Yazīd b. al-Hād also narrated this hadith from ʿAbdullāh b. Yūnus, from al-Maqburī, from Abū Hurayrah, and this is the sound (ṣaḥīḥ) version. The Shaykh Abū al-Ḥasan was asked about this ʿAbdullāh b. Yūnus and said: I do not know him except in this hadith.
