machine translationAbū Qilābah narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Abū Isḥāq al-Fazārī, ʿUbaydullāh b. al-Ḥasan al-Fasawī and Mukhallad b. Hilāl, the maternal half-brother of Khālid al-Ḥadhdhāʾ, narrated it from Khālid, from Abū Qilābah, from Qabīṣah b. Dhuʾayb, from Umm Salamah, from the Prophet ﷺ. Sufyān al-Thawrī differed from them: he narrated it from Khālid, from Abū Qilābah, from Qabīṣah b. Dhuʾayb as a mursal report. Ayyūb al-Sakhtiyānī narrated it from Abū Qilābah as a mursal report, mentioning neither Qabīṣah nor Umm Salamah. Al-Zuhrī also narrated this hadith, and there is disagreement about him. Ibrāhīm b. Saʿd narrated it, and there is disagreement about him: al-Ḥusayn b. Sayyār al-Ḥarrānī narrated it from Ibrāhīm b. Saʿd, from al-Zuhrī, from Qabīṣah, from Umm Salamah, while others narrate it from Ibrāhīm b. Saʿd, from al-Zuhrī, from Qabīṣah b. Dhuʾayb as a mursal report. Likewise Ibn Abī Dhiʾb narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from Qabīṣah, as a mursal report. Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from Maʿmar, from al-Zuhrī, without mentioning Qabīṣah, and made it mursal. Likewise Yūnus said from al-Zuhrī: he said, "Someone who heard Qabīṣah informed me," and he also made it mursal. This is the closest of them to correct from al-Zuhrī.
