حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الدِّمْياطِيُّ ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ثنا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ فِي بَيْتِهَا شَاةٌ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَنْ أَطْعِمِينَا مِنْ شَاتِكُمْ» فَقَالَتْ لِلرَّسُولِ مَا بَقِيَ عِنْدَنَا إِلَّا الرَّقَبَةُ وَأَنَا أَسْتَحْيِي أَنْ أُرْسِلَ بِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَرَجَعَ الرَّسُولُ إِلَيْهِ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ ارْجِعْ إِلَيْهَا فَقُلْ لَهَا أَرْسِلِي بِهَا فَإِنَّهَا هَادِيَةُ الشَّاةِ وَأَقْرَبُ الشَّاةِ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَأَبْعَدُهَا مِنَ الْأَذَى

✧ She had a sheep in her house. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent to her: "Feed us from your sheep." She said to the messenger, "Nothing remains with us except the neck, and I am ashamed to send it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." The messenger returned to him and informed him. He said: "Go back to her and tell her: Send it, for it is the guide of the sheep, the closest part of the sheep to good, and the farthest from harm."
