  • Ishbīlī

machine translationWhen al-Ishbīlī mentioned a hadith with this chain of transmission from Abū Aḥmad, he followed it with his statement: The hadith of Abū Dāwūd and al-Tirmidhī is more authentic.

  • Ibn al-Qaṭṭān

machine translationIf this statement of his is a declaration of weakness, as is my assumption, then know that its defect is that the aforementioned ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, his father and his grandfather are all of unknown condition.

  • Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī

  • Mubarakpūri

machine translationThe hadiths of this chapter, although they are weak (ḍaʿīf), some of them support one another.
