✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded Bilal to put his finger in his ear and said, "It is louder for your voice." Bilal's adhan was in pairs and his iqamah was single, and "Prayer has been established" once. He used to give the adhan on Friday during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when the shade was like a shoelace. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the two Eids, he would take the road past the house of Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas, then past the people of the tents, then he would begin with the prayer before the sermon, then he would say the takbir seven times in the first (rak'ah) before the recitation and five times in the second before the recitation, then he would address the people, then he would return by the other road, the road of Banu Zurayq. He slaughtered a sacrificial animal at the edge of al-Riqaq with his own hand using a blade, then he went out to the house of 'Ammar b. Yasir and the house of Abu Hurayrah in al-Balat. He used to go out to the two Eids walking and return walking, and he used to say the takbir between the parts of the sermon and say the takbir frequently during the sermon, and he would deliver the sermon leaning on a staff. When Bilal said the takbir for the adhan, he would face the qiblah, then say: Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah twice, ashhadu anna Muhammadan rasul Allah twice, and he would face the qiblah, then turn away from the qiblah and say: Hayya 'ala al-salah twice, then turn to the left of the qiblah and say: Hayya 'ala al-falah twice, then face the qiblah and say: Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, la ilaha illa Allah.
