أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، ( ح ) وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ - وَهُوَ مَوْلَى آلِ طَلْحَةَ - عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:
قَالَتْ جُوَيْرِيَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ - وَكَانَ اسْمُهَا بَرَّةَ - فَحَوَّلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ اسْمَهَا، وَسَمَّاهَا جُوَيْرِيَةَ، وَكَرِهَ أَنْ يُقَالَ: خَرَجَ مِنْ عِنْدِ بَرَّةَ - قَالَتْ: خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَنَا فِي مُصَلَّايَ فَرَجَعَ حِينَ تَعَالَى النَّهَارُ وَأَنَا فِيهِ، فَقَالَ: لَمْ تَزَالِي فِي مُصَلَّاكِ مُنْذُ خَرَجْتُ ؟ " قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: " قَدْ قُلْتُ أَرْبَعَ كَلِمَاتٍ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ لَوْ وُزِنَّ بِمَا قُلْتِ لَوَزَنَتْهُنَّ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ، عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ، وَرِضَا نَفْسِهِ، وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ، وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ ". هَذَا حَدِيثُ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ. وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ: عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ حِينَ خَرَجَ إِلَى صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ وَجُوَيْرِيَةُ جَالِسَةٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ

✧ Juwayriyah bint al-Harith said – and her name was Barrah, but the Prophet ﷺ changed her name and called her Juwayriyah, and he disliked that it be said: 'He left from Barrah' – she said: The Prophet ﷺ left while I was in my prayer place, and he returned when the day had advanced and I was still there. He said: 'Have you been in your prayer place since I left?' I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'I have said four phrases three times; if they were weighed against what you have said, they would outweigh them: Subhan Allah wa bi-hamdihi, 'adada khalqihi, wa rida nafsihi, wa zinata 'arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi.' This is the hadith of Yahya b. Hakim. 'Abd al-Jabbar said: From Ibn 'Abbas, that the Prophet ﷺ, when he went out to the Fajr prayer, Juwayriyah was sitting in the mosque.
