✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood for prayer, he stood upright. He then mentioned part of the hadith and said: Then he said, “Allahu akbar,” and bowed. Then he straightened up, neither lowering his head nor raising it, and placed his hands on his knees. Then he said, “Allah hears the one who praises Him,” and raised his hands. He stood straight until every bone returned to its place. Then he went down to the ground in prostration. Then he said, “Allahu akbar.” Then he kept his upper arms away from his sides and spread the toes of his feet. Then he folded his left leg and sat on it. Then he stood straight until every bone returned to its place. Then he went down in prostration. Then he said, “Allahu akbar.” Then he folded his leg and sat, and stood straight until every bone returned to its place. Then he rose. Then he did the same in the second rak‘ah, until when he stood up from the two prostrations, he said the takbir and raised his hands until they were level with his shoulders, just as he did when he began the prayer. Then he did the same, and when it was the rak‘ah in which the prayer would end, he drew back his left leg and sat on his left side, mutawarrikan, then he said the salam.
