أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ غِيَاثٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ قَالَ:

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَنَا وَرَجُلٌ فَوَدَّعَنَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِذَا سَافَرْتُمَا وَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَأَذِّنَا وَأَقِيمَا، وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمَا أَكْبَرُكُمَا "

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ with a man, and he bade us farewell, then said: “When you two travel and the prayer time comes, give the call to prayer and the iqāmah, and let the elder of you lead you.””
