حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَرْحٍ قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ:
وَذَكَرُوا عِنْدَهُ صَدَقَةَ رَمَضَانَ، فَقَالَ: لَا أُخْرِجُ إِلَّا مَا كُنْتُ أُخْرِجُ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ صَاعَ تَمْرٍ، أَوْ صَاعَ حِنْطَةٍ، أَوْ صَاعَ شَعِيرٍ، أَوْ صَاعَ أَقِطٍ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ: أَوْ مُدَّيْنِ مِنْ قَمْحٍ ؟ فَقَالَ: لَا، تِلْكَ قِيمَةُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، لَا أَقْبَلُهَا وَلَا أَعْمَلُ بِهَا

✧ And they mentioned the charity of Ramadan in his presence, so he said: I will not give except what I used to give at the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: a saa' of dates, or a saa' of wheat, or a saa' of barley, or a saa' of aqit. A man from the group said to him: Or two mudds of wheat? He said: No, that is the value of Mu'awiyah; I do not accept it, nor do I act upon it.
