حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ بُنْدَارٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سَوِيَّةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عِكْرَاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عِكْرَاشِ بْنِ ذُؤَيْبٍ قَالَ:
بَعَثَنِي بَنُو مُرَّةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ بِصَدَقَاتِ أَمْوَالِهِمْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَدِمْتُ عَلَيْهِ الْمَدِينَةَ، فَوَجَدْتُهُ جَالِسًا بَيْنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ، فَقَدِمْتُ عَلَيْهِ بِإِبِلٍ كَأَنَّهَا عُرُوقُ الْأَرْطَى، فَقَالَ: " مَنِ الرَّجُلُ ؟ " فَقُلْتُ: عِكْرَاشُ بْنُ ذُؤَيْبٍ قَالَ: " ارْفَعْ فِي النَّسَبِ "، قُلْتُ: ابْنُ حُرْقُوصِ بْنِ جَعْدَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ النَّزَّالِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، وَهَذِهِ صَدَقَاتُ بَنِي مُرَّةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ. قَالَ: فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ قَالَ: " هَذِهِ إِبِلُ قَوْمِي، هَذِهِ صَدَقَاتُ قَوْمِي "، ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِهَا أَنْ تُوسَمَ بِمِيسَمِ إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ، وَتُضَمَّ إِلَيْهَا، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَانْطَلَقَ بِي إِلَى بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
Translation

✧ The Banu Murrah b. 'Ubayd sent me with the charity of their wealth to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I arrived in Madinah. I found him sitting among the Muhajirun and the Ansar. I brought camels that were like the roots of the arta tree. He said: 'Who is the man?' I said: 'Ikrash b. Dhu'ayb.' He said: 'Go higher in lineage.' I said: 'Son of Hurqus b. Ja'dah b. 'Amr b. al-Nazzal b. Murrah b. 'Ubayd, and these are the charities of the Banu Murrah b. 'Ubayd.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled, then said: 'These are the camels of my people, these are the charities of my people.' Then he ordered that they be branded with the branding iron of charity camels and be added to them. Then he took my hand and went with me to the house of Umm Salamah. And he mentioned the hadith.
