✧ He informed Zayd b. Thabit about Abu Hurayrah's statement that he said: Whoever the dawn overtakes in the month of Ramadan while junub and has not bathed has broken his fast and must make it up. Zayd b. Thabit said: Allah prescribed fasting upon us as He prescribed prayer upon us. If a man was overtaken by sunrise while sleeping, would he abandon the prayer? He said: I said to Zayd: Should he fast, and fast another day? Zayd said: Two days for one?
