✧ While I was sleeping, two men came to me, took hold of my upper arms, and brought me to a rugged mountain. They said, "Climb." I said, "I cannot manage it." They said, "We will make it easy for you." I climbed until, when I was on level ground on the mountain, there were loud voices. I said, "What are these voices?" They said, "This is the howling of the people of the Fire." Then I was taken on, and I came upon a people suspended by their Achilles tendons, their cheeks split, blood flowing from their cheeks. He said: I said, "Who are these?" He said, "These are those who break the fast before the proper time of their fast." Then he said, "The Jews and Christians have failed." Sulaym said: I do not know whether Abu Umamah heard it from the Messenger of God ﷺ or whether it is something of his own opinion. Then he went on, and I came upon a people with the most severe bloating, the foulest smell, and the worst appearance. I said, "Who are these?" He said, "These are those killed from the disbelievers." Then he went on, and I came upon a people with the most severe bloating and the foulest smell, as if their smell were that of latrines. I said, "Who are these?" He said, "These are the male and female adulterers." Then he went on, and I came upon women whose breasts were being bitten by snakes. I said, "What is the matter with these?" He said, "These are those who deny their children their milk." Then he went on, and I came upon boys playing between two rivers. I said, "Who are these?" He said, "These are the offspring of the believers." Then he ascended a height, and I came upon three people drinking from wine they had. I said, "Who are these?" He said, "These are Ja'far, Zayd, and Ibn Rawahah." Then he took me up to another height, and I came upon three people. I said, "Who are these?" He said, "This is Ibrahim, Musa, and 'Isa, and they are looking at me."
