✧ The Prophet ﷺ gathered the women of the Ansar in a house, and ʿUmar came to us, stood at the door, gave the greeting, and we returned the greeting to him. He said: “I am the messenger of the Messenger of God ﷺ to you.” We said: “Welcome to the Messenger of God and his messenger.” He said: “Do you pledge allegiance that you will not associate anything with God, nor steal, nor commit adultery?” She said: We said: “Yes,” and we stretched out our hands from inside the house, and he stretched out his hand from outside. She said: And he ordered us to bring out the menstruating women and the adolescent girls on the two Eid days, and we were forbidden from following funeral processions, and there is no Friday prayer upon us. He said: I said to her: “What is the good deed that you were forbidden from?” She said: “Wailing.”
