أَخْبَرَنَا الْأُسْتَاذُ الْإِمَامُ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الصَّابُونِيُّ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ أَبِي الْأَشْهَبِ السَّعْدِيِّ. وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْأَشْهَبِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ:

رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ تَأَخُّرًا، فَقَالَ: تَقَدَّمُوا، وَائْتَمُّوا بِي، وَلْيَأْتَمَّ بِكُمْ مَنْ بَعْدَكُمْ، وَلَا يَزَالُ الْقَوْمُ يَتَأَخَّرُونَ حَتَّى يُؤَخِّرَهُمُ اللهُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw some of his companions lagging behind, so he said: 'Come forward and follow me, and let those behind you follow you. A people will keep lagging behind until Allah puts them behind.'
