✧ We traveled with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the time for prayer came. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Is there any water for purification among the people?" A man came with leftover water in a leather water-skin. He poured it into a bowl, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution. Then the people brought the rest of the purification water, and he said, "Wipe yourselves with it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard them and said, "Take it easy." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed his hand in the bowl in the midst of the water and said, "Perform ablution thoroughly." Jabir b. Abdullah said, "By the One who took away my sight," and his sight had indeed gone, "I saw water gushing from between the fingers of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he did not lift his hand until they had all performed ablution." Ubaydah said: Al-Aswad said: I think he said, "We were two hundred or more."
