Those Muslims who were martyred on the day of Badr
مَنْ اُسْتُشْهِدَ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ [ الْقُرَشِيُّونَ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ] وَاسْتُشْهِدَ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ، مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ، مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ: عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، قَتَلَهُ عُتْبَةُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، قَطَعَ رِجْلَهُ، فَمَاتَ بِالصَّفْرَاءِ. رَجُلٌ. [ مِنْ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ بْنِ كِلَابٍ. عُمَيْرُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصِ بْنِ أُهَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ، وَهُوَ أَخُو سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، فِيمَا قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ، وَذُو الشِّمَالَيْنِ ابْنُ عَبْدِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نَضْلَةَ، حَلِيفٌ لَهُمْ مِنْ خُزَاعَةَ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي غُبْشَانَ. رَجُلَانِ. [ مِنْ بَنِي عَدِّيٍّ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي عَدِيِّ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ لُؤَيٍّ: عَاقِلُ بْنُ الْبُكَيْرِ، حَلِيفٌ لَهُمْ مِنْ بَنِي سَعْدِ بْنِ لَيْثِ بْنِ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَاةَ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ، وَمِهْجَعٌ، مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ. رَجُلَانِ. [ مِنْ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ فِهْرٍ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ فِهْرٍ: صَفْوَانُ بْنُ بَيْضَاءَ رَجُلٌ. سِتَّةُ نَفَرٍ.
Translation
✧ Those of the Muslims who were martyred on the day of Badr: [The Qurayshīs from Banū ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib] And among the Muslims martyred on the day of Badr, with the Messenger of God ﷺ, from Quraysh, then from Banū al-Muṭṭalib b. ʿAbd Manāf: ʿUbaydah b. al-Ḥārith b. al-Muṭṭalib. He was killed by ʿUtbah b. Rabīʿah, who cut off his leg, and he died at al-Ṣafrāʾ. One man. [From Banū Zuhrah] And from Banū Zuhrah b. Kilāb: ʿUmayr b. Abī Waqqāṣ b. Uhayb b. ʿAbd Manāf b. Zuhrah—and he was the brother of Saʿd b. Abī Waqqāṣ, according to what Ibn Hishām said—and Dhū al-Shimālayn b. ʿAbd ʿAmr b. Naḍlah, an ally of theirs from Khuzāʿah, then from Banū Ghubshān. Two men. [From Banū ʿAdiyy] And from Banū ʿAdiyy b. Kaʿb b. Luʾayy: ʿĀqil b. al-Bukayr, an ally of theirs from Banū Saʿd b. Layth b. Bakr b. ʿAbd Manāt b. Kinānah, and Mihjaʿ, the mawlā of ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb. Two men. [From Banū al-Ḥārith b. Fihr] And from Banū al-Ḥārith b. Fihr: Ṣafwān b. Bayḍāʾ. One man. Six persons in all.
