What was revealed concerning the mention of God's favor upon the Messenger
[ مَا نَزَلَ فِي ذِكْرِ نِعْمَةِ اللَّهِ عَلَى الرَّسُولِ ] ثُمَّ ذَكَّرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِنِعْمَتِهِ عَلَيْهِ، حِينَ مَكَرَ بِهِ الْقَوْمُ لِيَقْتُلُوهُ أَوْ يُثْبِتُوهُ أَوْ يُخْرِجُوهُ وَيَمْكُرُونَ وَيَمْكُرُ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ أَيْ فَمَكَرْتُ بِهِمْ بِكَيْدِي الْمَتِينِ حَتَّى خَلَّصْتُكَ مِنْهُمْ
Translation
✧ [What was revealed mentioning God's favour upon the Messenger] Then He reminded the Messenger of God ﷺ of His favour upon him, when the people plotted against him to kill him, or to restrain him, or to expel him. And they plotted, and God plotted, and God is the best of plotters—that is, I plotted against them with My firm cunning until I delivered you from them.
