What befell Zaynab from Quraysh upon her departure and Abū Sufyān's counsel
[ الْخِلَافُ بَيْنَ ابْنِ إسْحَاقَ وَابْنِ هِشَامٍ فِي مَوْلَى يَمِينِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ] قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: وَمَوْلَى يَمِينِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، الَّذِي يَعْنِي: عَامِرَ بْنَ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ: كَانَ فِي الْأُسَارَى، وَكَانَ حِلْفُ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ إلَى حَرْبِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ. قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: مَوْلَى يَمِينِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، الَّذِي يَعْنِي: عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، فَأَمَّا عَامِرُ بْنُ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ فَقُتِلَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ
Translation
✧ [The disagreement between Ibn Isḥāq and Ibn Hishām regarding the mawlā of Abū Sufyān's right hand] Ibn Isḥāq said: And the mawlā of Abū Sufyān's right hand, by whom he means ʿĀmir b. al-Ḥaḍramī, was among the captives, and the Ḥaḍramī's alliance was with Ḥarb b. Umayyah. Ibn Hishām said: The mawlā of Abū Sufyān's right hand, by whom he means ʿUqbah b. ʿAbd al-Ḥārith b. al-Ḥaḍramī. As for ʿĀmir b. al-Ḥaḍramī, he was killed on the day of Badr.
