Sirat Ibn Hisham 629
What was revealed concerning the statement of Abū Ṣalūbā: 'You have not brought us anything we recognize'
Translation
✧ What was revealed concerning the saying of Abu Saluba: 'You have not brought us anything we recognize.' Abu Saluba al-Fatyuni said to the Messenger of God ﷺ: 'O Muhammad, you have not brought us anything that we recognize, and God has not sent down upon you any sign that we would follow you for.' So God, exalted be He, sent down concerning that, from His saying: 'And We have certainly sent down to you clear signs, and none disbelieves in them except the defiantly disobedient.'
