دُخُولُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فِي جِوَارِ ابْنِ الدُّغُنَّةِ وَرَدُّ جِوَارِهِ عَلَيْهِ [ سَبَبُ جِوَارِ ابْنِ الدُّغُنَّةِ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ ] قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: وَقَدْ كَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ ؓ، كَمَا حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ ( ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ) الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ حِينَ ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِ مَكَّةُ وَأَصَابَهُ فِيهَا الْأَذَى، وَرَأَى مِنْ تَظَاهُرِ قُرَيْشٍ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَصْحَابِهِ مَا رَأَى، اسْتَأْذَنَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الْهِجْرَةِ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ، فَخَرَجَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُهَاجِرًا، حَتَّى إذَا سَارَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ يَوْمًا أَوْ يَوْمَيْنِ، لَقِيَهُ ابْنُ الدُّغُنَّةِ أَخُو بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَاةَ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ، وَهُوَ يَوْمَئِذٍ سَيِّدُ الْأَحَابِيشِ.
Translation
✧ The entry of Abū Bakr into the protection of Ibn al-Dughunna and his returning of his protection to him [The reason for Ibn al-Dughunna's protection of Abū Bakr]. Ibn Isḥāq said: Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq ؓ, as Muḥammad b. Muslim (b. Shihāb) al-Zuhrī narrated to me, from ʿUrwa, from ʿĀʾisha ؓ, when Makkah became straitened for him and harm befell him in it, and he saw what he saw of Quraysh's banding together against the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions, asked permission of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to emigrate, and he granted him permission. So Abū Bakr went out as an emigrant, until, when he had traveled from Makkah for a day or two, Ibn al-Dughunna, the brother of Banū al-Ḥārith b. ʿAbd Manāt b. Kināna, met him; he was that day the chief of the Aḥābīsh.
