The number of Muslims who witnessed the conquest of Makkah

[ عِدَّةُ مَنْ شَهِدَ فَتْحَ مَكَّةَ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ] قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: وَكَانَ جَمِيعُ مَنْ شَهِدَ فَتْحَ مَكَّةَ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ عَشَرَةَ آلَافٍ. مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ سَبْعُ مِئَةٍ. وَيَقُولُ بَعْضُهُمْ: أَلْفٌ ؟ وَمِنْ بَنِي غِفَارٍ أَرْبَعُ مِئَةٍ، وَمِنْ أَسْلَمَ أَرْبَعُ مِئَةٍ ؟ وَمِنْ مُزَيْنَةَ أَلْفٌ وَثَلَاثَةُ نَفَرٍ، وَسَائِرُهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ وَالْأَنْصَارِ وَحُلَفَائِهِمْ، وَطَوَائِفُ الْعَرَبِ مِنْ تَمِيمٍ وَقَيْسٍ وَأَسَدٍ

Translation

✧ The number of Muslims who witnessed the conquest of Makkah Ibn Isḥāq said: The total number of Muslims who witnessed the conquest of Makkah was ten thousand. From Banū Sulaym, seven hundred—though some say one thousand—and from Banū Ghifār, four hundred, and from Aslam, four hundred, and from Muzaynah, one thousand and three, and the rest were from Quraysh, the Anṣār and their allies, and groups of Arabs from Tamīm, Qays, and Asad.
