The women emigrants to Abyssinia

[ مُهَاجِرَاتُ الْحَبَشَةِ ] وَجَمِيعُ مَنْ هَاجَرَ إلَى أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ مِنْ النِّسَاءِ، مَنْ قَدِمَ مِنْهُنَّ وَمَنْ هَلَكَ هُنَالِكَ سِتَّ عَشْرَةَ امْرَأَةً، سِوَى بَنَاتِهِنَّ اللَّاتِي وُلِدْنَ هُنَالِكَ. مَنْ قَدِمَ مِنْهُنَّ وَمَنْ هَلَكَ هُنَالِكَ، وَمَنْ خَرَجَ بِهِ مَعَهُنَّ حِينَ خَرَجْنَ: [ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ ] مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ، مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ: رُقَيَّةُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ. [ مِنْ بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ: أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، مَعَهَا ابْنَتُهَا حَبِيبَةُ، خَرَجَتْ: مِنْ مَكَّةَ، وَرَجَعَتْ بِهَا مَعَهَا. [ مِنْ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ: أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ بِنْتُ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ، قَدِمَتْ مَعَهَا بِزَيْنَبِ ابْنَتِهَا مِنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ وَلَدَتْهَا هُنَالِكَ. [ مِنْ بَنِي تَيْمٍ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي تَيْمِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ: رَيْطَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ جُبَيْلَةَ. هَلَكَتْ بِالطَّرِيقِ، وَبِنْتَانِ لَهَا كَانَتْ وَلَدَتْهُمَا هُنَالِكَ: عَائِشَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ، وَزَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ، هَلَكْنَ جَمِيعًا، وَأَخُوهُنَّ مُوسَى بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، مِنْ مَاءٍ شَرِبُوهُ فِي الطَّرِيقِ، وَقَدِمَتْ بِنْتٌ لَهَا وَلَدَتْهَا هُنَالِكَ، فَلَمْ يَبْقَ مِنْ وَلَدِهَا غَيْرُهَا، يُقَالُ لَهَا فَاطِمَةُ. [ مِنْ بَنِي سَهْمٍ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي سَهْمِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو: رَمْلَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي عَوْفِ بْنِ ضُبَيْرَةَ. [ مِنْ بَنِي عَدِيٍّ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي عَدِيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ: لَيْلَى بِنْتُ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ بْنِ غَانِمٍ [ مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرٍ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ لُؤَيٍّ: سَوْدَةُ بِنْتُ زَمَعَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ؟ وَسَهْلَةُ بِنْتُ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو. وَابْنَةُ الْمُجَلِّلِ. وَعَمْرَةُ بِنْتُ السَّعْدِيِّ بْنِ وَقْدَانَ. وَأُمُّ كُلْثُومِ بِنْتُ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ عَمْرِو. [ مِنْ غَرَائِبِ الْعَرَبِ ] وَمِنْ غَرَائِبِ الْعَرَبِ: أَسَمَاءُ بِنْتُ عُمَيْسِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ الْخَثْعَمِيَّةُ وَفَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ مُحَرَّثٍ الْكِنَانِيَّةُ - وَفُكَيْهَةُ بِنْتُ يَسَارٍ، وَبَرَكَةُ بِنْتُ يَسَارٍ، وَحَسَنَةُ. أُمُّ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ حَسَنَةَ. [ أَبْنَاؤُهُمْ بِالْحَبَشَةِ ] وَهَذِهِ تَسْمِيَةُ مَنْ وُلِدَ مِنْ أَبْنَائِهِمْ بِأَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ. [ مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ: عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ. [ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، وَأُخْتُهُ أَمَةُ بِنْتُ خَالِدٍ. [ مِنْ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ: زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَسَدِ. [ مِنْ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ: عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ أَزْهَرَ. [ مِنْ بَنِي تَيْمٍ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي تَيْمٍ: مُوسَى بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ. وَأَخَوَاتُهُ عَائِشَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ، وَفَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ، وَزَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ. [ الذُّكُورُ مِنْهُمْ ] الرِّجَالُ مِنْهُمْ خَمْسَةٌ: عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُطَّلِبِ، وَمُوسَى بْنُ الْحَارِثِ. [ الْإِنَاثُ مِنْهُمْ ] وَمِنْ النِّسَاءِ خَمْسٌ: أَمَةُ بِنْتُ خَالِدٍ وَزَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، وَعَائِشَةُ وَزَيْنَبُ وَفَاطِمَةُ، بَنَاتُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ صَخْرٍ

Translation

✧ [The Abyssinian female emigrants] And all who emigrated to the land of Abyssinia of the women—those of them who came and those who perished there—were sixteen women, besides their daughters who were born there. Of those who came, and those who perished there, and those who went out with them when they went out: [From Quraysh] From Quraysh, from Banū Hāshim: Ruqayyah bt. the Messenger of God ﷺ. [From Banū Umayyah] And from Banū Umayyah: Umm Ḥabībah bt. Abī Sufyān, with her daughter Ḥabībah. She went out from Makkah and returned with her. [From Banū Makhzūm] And from Banū Makhzūm: Umm Salamah bt. Abī Umayyah. She came with Zaynab her daughter from Abū Salamah; she bore her there. [From Banū Taym] And from Banū Taym b. Murrah: Rayṭah bt. al-Ḥārith b. Jubaylah. She perished on the way, and two daughters of hers whom she had borne there: ʿĀʾishah bt. al-Ḥārith and Zaynab bt. al-Ḥārith. They all perished, and their brother Mūsā b. al-Ḥārith, from water they drank on the way. And a daughter of hers whom she had borne there came, so no offspring of hers remained besides her; she is called Fāṭimah. [From Banū Sahm] And from Banū Sahm b. ʿAmr: Ramlah bt. Abī ʿAwf b. Ḍubayrah. [From Banū ʿAdiyy] And from Banū ʿAdiyy b. Kaʿb: Laylā bt. Abī Ḥathmah b. Ghānim. [From Banū ʿĀmir] And from Banū ʿĀmir b. Luʾayy: Sawdah bt. Zamaʿah b. Qays? and Sahlah bt. Suhayl b. ʿAmr; and the daughter of al-Mujallil; and ʿAmrah bt. al-Saʿdiyy b. Waqdān; and Umm Kulthūm bt. Suhayl b. ʿAmr. [From the stranger Arabs] And from the stranger Arabs: Asmāʾ bt. ʿUmays b. al-Nuʿmān al-Khathʿamiyyah; and Fāṭimah bt. Ṣafwān b. Umayyah b. Muḥarrith al-Kināniyyah; and Fukayhah bt. Yasār; and Barakah bt. Yasār; and Ḥasanah, mother of Shuraḥbīl b. Ḥasanah. [Their children in Abyssinia] And this is the naming of those who were born of their children in the land of Abyssinia. [From Banū Hāshim] And from Banū Hāshim: ʿAbd Allāh b. Jaʿfar b. Abī Ṭālib. [From Banū ʿAbd Shams] And from Banū ʿAbd Shams: Muḥammad b. Abī Ḥudhayfah, and Saʿīd b. Khālid b. Saʿīd, and his sister Amah bt. Khālid. [From Banū Makhzūm] And from Banū Makhzūm: Zaynab bt. Abī Salamah b. al-Asad. [From Banū Zuhrah] And from Banū Zuhrah: ʿAbd Allāh b. al-Muṭṭalib b. Azhar. [From Banū Taym] And from Banū Taym: Mūsā b. al-Ḥārith b. Khālid, and his sisters ʿĀʾishah bt. al-Ḥārith, Fāṭimah bt. al-Ḥārith, and Zaynab bt. al-Ḥārith. [The males among them] The men among them are five: ʿAbd Allāh b. Jaʿfar, Muḥammad b. Abī Ḥudhayfah, Saʿīd b. Khālid, ʿAbd Allāh b. al-Muṭṭalib, and Mūsā b. al-Ḥārith. [The females among them] And of the women, five: Amah bt. Khālid, Zaynab bt. Abī Salamah, ʿĀʾishah, Zaynab, and Fāṭimah, daughters of al-Ḥārith b. Khālid b. Ṣakhr.
