Translation
✧ [Poetry of Nājiyah on the day of Khaybar] Ibn Isḥāq said: Nājiyah b. Jundub al-Aslamī said: O servants of God, what is there to desire? It is nothing but food and drink, and a garden in which is wondrous bliss. And Nājiyah b. Jundub al-Aslamī also said: I am, for whoever denied me, Ibn Jundub. Many a peer in my attack was overthrown, perished where vultures and foxes feed. Ibn Hishām said: One of the transmitters recited to me of the poetry his saying: 'in my attack,' and 'perished where [vultures and foxes] feed.'
