The genealogy of Murrah
[ أَوْلَادُ مُرَّةَ وَأُمَّهَاتُهُمْ ] فَوَلَدَ مُرَّةُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ ثَلَاثَةَ نَفَرٍ: كِلَابَ بْنَ مُرَّةَ، وَتَيْمَ بْنَ مُرَّةَ، وَيَقَظَةَ بْنَ مُرَّةَ. فَأُمُّ كِلَابٍ: هِنْدُ بِنْتُ سُرَيْرِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ ( فِهْرِ بْنِ مَالِكِ ) بْنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ. وَأُمُّ يَقَظَةَ: الْبَارِقِيَّةُ، امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ بَارِقٍ، مِنْ الْأَسْدِ مِنْ الْيَمَنِ. وَيُقَالُ: هِيَ أُمُّ تَيْمٍ. وَيُقَالُ: تَيْمٌ لِهِنْدِ بِنْتِ سُرَيْرٍ أُمِّ كِلَابٍ
Translation
✧ [The children of Murrah and their mothers] Murrah b. Kaʿb begot three persons: Kilāb b. Murrah, Taym b. Murrah, and Yaqaẓah b. Murrah. The mother of Kilāb was Hind bt. Surayr b. Thaʿlabah b. al-Ḥārith b. (Fihr b. Mālik) b. al-Naḍr b. Kinānah b. Khuzaymah. The mother of Yaqaẓah was al-Bāriqiyyah, a woman from Bāriq, of al-Asd from al-Yaman. It is said that she was the mother of Taym. It is also said that Taym belonged to Hind bt. Surayr, the mother of Kilāb.
