✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped at Dhu Tuwa, Abu Quhafa said to a daughter of his, one of his youngest children, 'O my little daughter, show me Abu Qubays.' She said—and his sight had failed—so she took him up to it. He said, 'O my little daughter, what do you see?' She said, 'I see a gathered black mass.' He said, 'That is the cavalry.' She said, 'And I see a man running before that black mass, coming and going.' He said, 'That, my little daughter, is the commander who directs the cavalry and goes ahead of it.' Then she said, 'By Allah, the black mass has spread out.' He said, 'By Allah, the cavalry has been let loose. Hurry with me to my house.' She descended with him, but the cavalry met him before he reached his house. On the girl's neck was a necklace of silver coins, and a man met her and snatched it from her neck. She said, 'When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered and entered the mosque, Abu Bakr ؓ brought his father, leading him. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw him, he said, "Why did you not leave the old man in his house so that I could come to him?" Abu Bakr ؓ said, "O Messenger of Allah, he has more right to walk to you than you to walk to him." He seated him before him, then wiped his chest, then said to him, "Submit." So he submitted. She said, 'Abu Bakr ؓ brought him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and his head was like a white flower. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Change this hair of his." Then Abu Bakr stood up, took his sister by the hand, and said, "I adjure you by Allah and Islam—my sister's necklace." No one answered him. He said, "O my little sister, count your necklace as lost, for by Allah, trustworthiness among people today is scarce."
