Sahih Ibn Hibban 7207

Translation

✧ We were with the Prophet ﷺ in one of his expeditions. One night I went out and did not find the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in his place, and his companions were as if birds were on their heads, and the camels had laid down their necks. I looked, and behold, a figure appeared to me, and it was Mu'adh b. Jabal. I said, 'Where is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?' He said, 'Behind me.' Then another figure appeared to me, and it was Abu Musa al-Ash'ari. I said, 'Where is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?' He said, 'Behind me.'
