✧ Umar b. al-Khattab ؓ was traveling with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on one of his journeys. Umar asked him about something, but he did not answer him at all. Then he asked him again, but he did not answer. Then he asked him again, but he did not answer. Umar said, 'May your mother be bereaved of you, Umar! You have pestered the Messenger of Allah ﷺ three times, and each time he does not answer you.' Umar said, 'So I urged my camel on until I brought it ahead of the people, fearing that something concerning me had been revealed in the Quran. It was not long before I heard a crier calling to me. I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, greeted him, and he said, "A surah was revealed to me tonight that is more beloved to me than what the sun has risen upon." Then he recited: {Indeed, We have granted you a clear victory, so that Allah may forgive you your past and future sins.} (Quran 48:1–2)"
