حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بِحَرَّانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ قَائِمًا بِالْبَقِيعِ فَنَادَى رَجُلٌ آخَرُ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ فَالْتَفَتَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَمْ أَعْنِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّمَا دَعَوْتُ فُلَانًا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «تَسَمَّوْا بِاسْمِي وَلَا تَكَنَّوْا بِكُنْيَتِي»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was standing in al-Baqi' when a man called out to another, 'O Abu al-Qasim!' The Prophet ﷺ turned, and he said, 'I did not mean you, O Messenger of Allah; I only called so-and-so.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Name yourselves with my name, but do not use my kunya.'
