machine translationHishām b. ʿUrwah narrated it, and there is disagreement about him. Hishām al-Dastuwāʾī, al-Thawrī, Yaḥyā al-Qaṭṭān, Ibn Numayr, Shuʿayb b. Isḥāq, Muḥammad b. Bishr, Abū Marwān al-Ghassānī, Salamah b. Saʿīd, Abū Usāmah, Mālik b. Suʿayr and Muḥāḍir narrated it from Hishām, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah, from the Prophet ﷺ. Ḥammād b. Zayd also narrated it from Hishām and raised it to the Prophet (marfūʿ), and its raising is sound (ṣaḥīḥ). Likewise Sufyān b. Ḥusayn and al-Nuʿmān b. Rāshid narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUrwah, from ʿĀʾishah, as a raised report (marfūʿ).
