✧ What is disliked from speech and what is not disliked?

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ الْجَرْمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ زَرَعْتُ وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلْ حَرَثْتُ» قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ «أَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ إِلَى قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى {أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا تَحْرُثُونَ أَأَنْتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الزَّارِعُونَ} »

Translation

  5. Ibn Sīrīn
  6. Abū Hurayrah
  7. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ None of you should say, 'I have planted,' but let him say, 'I have plowed.'" Abu Hurayrah said, "Have you not heard the words of God, Blessed and Exalted: 'Have you considered what you till? Is it you who sow it, or are We the Sower?'
