أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ أَنَّ سُرَاقَةَ بْنَ جُعْشُمٍ قَالَ

يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الضَّالَّةُ تَرِدُ عَلَى حَوْضِي فَهَلْ فِيهَا أَجْرٌ إِنْ سَقَيْتُهَا؟ قَالَ «اسْقِهَا فَإِنَّ فِي كُلِّ ذَاتِ كَبِدٍ حَرَّى أَجْرًا»
